Peacock Premium Plus: What the Live Sports and Local NBC Channel Include
Peacock Premium Plus is the only Peacock tier that includes a live local NBC station and offline downloads. As of 26 August 2026 it costs $19.99 a month or $199.99 a year — a figure that has risen twice in the past year, so it is worth knowing exactly what the extra buys.

What the price is now
Peacock lists Premium Plus at $19.99 a month or $199.99 a year. The new rate applied to new subscribers from 18 August 2026 and reaches existing subscribers from their first billing date on or after 17 September 2026. The previous price was $16.99. Premium, the ad-supported tier below it, is $12.99.
If you see an older figure quoted anywhere — including on this page before this update — it is out of date. Peacock has changed this price twice inside twelve months.
The live local NBC channel
This is the feature that separates Premium Plus from Premium. Peacock includes a 24/7 live feed of your local NBC station, selected by geolocation, inside the Channels section.
It behaves like broadcast television rather than streaming, and Peacock documents the constraints plainly: you cannot pause, rewind or fast-forward it, it carries ads regardless of your tier, and it is subject to regional restrictions and blackouts. Where rights prevent the local feed, Peacock substitutes the NBC national feed.
Downloads, and their limits
Offline downloads are exclusive to Premium Plus — the $12.99 Premium tier does not offer them at all. The allowance is real but bounded, and Peacock publishes the numbers:
- A maximum of 25 downloaded titles at once, counted across all your devices
- Some titles are capped at 10 downloads per account; the eleventh attempt is blocked
- Supported mobile and tablet devices only
- A title you have started watching is removed 48 hours later; an unwatched one lasts 30 days
- Logging out or uninstalling the app deletes everything you have downloaded
Where “ad-free” stops being ad-free
Peacock describes on-demand viewing on this tier as ad-free “with limited exceptions”, and publishes no minutes-per-hour figure. The live local NBC channel is the clearest exception — it carries the station’s own commercial breaks. If your reason for upgrading is to escape advertising entirely, the live channel will not deliver that.
Who this tier suits
Someone who watches NBC live — sports, news, primetime as it airs — and wants that station in the same app as everything else. And anyone who downloads for flights or commutes, since that capability exists nowhere else in the Peacock lineup.
If you only stream on demand at home, Premium at $12.99 covers the same catalogue for $7 a month less, with ads.
