Momentous Creatine Monohydrate: NSF Certified, and No Longer Creapure

Momentous sells NSF Certified for Sport creatine monohydrate at $42.99 for 90 servings — about 48 cents a day. One thing has changed quietly: the current product pages no longer name Creapure as the raw material.

Cost per serving

At $42.99 for 90 servings the cost is 48 cents a day, or 42 cents on the 25% subscription discount. The 60-serving jar at $34.99 works out to 58 cents — the larger jar is the better buy per gram, as usual.

For context on the category: creatine monohydrate is a commodity ingredient. What you are paying above the commodity price here is certification and testing, not a different molecule.

The certification, verified independently

We did not take this from the marketing copy. NSF’s own Certified for Sport database lists “Creatine Monohydrate | Momentous” under listing IDs 1285010 and 1756219, recording package sizes of 5 g, 75 g, 150 g and 450 g and a serving size of one scoop (5 g), with Lot # “All”.

Some retailers also claim Informed Sport certification. We could not confirm that — Informed Sport’s own database returned a 403 error — so we are not repeating it.

The Creapure question

Momentous creatine was widely known as a Creapure product. The current product pages describe it instead as “Signature Spec”, which Momentous defines as a designation for products where “formulation, sourcing, and manufacturing have been pushed to an undeniable best-in-class”.

Creapure is not mentioned. Whether the underlying raw material is still Creapure is not something we could verify either way, so any page still telling you this is Creapure creatine — including the earlier version of this one — is stating more than the manufacturer currently does.

What is documented on testing

• Expanded certificate of analysis covering 24 parameters including potency, purity, heavy metals, microplastics and chemicals
• Carries a second-party “TESTED by SuppCo” mark, described as buying product as a consumer would to verify against label claims
