A label conflict you should know about
The manufacturer’s current page and two authorised retailers are printing different Supplement Facts panels. Designs for Health lists B2 at 5 mg, B6 at 5 mg as P-5-P, molybdenum at 250 mcg, taurine at 400 mg and malic acid at 30 mg.
Both retailers we checked list B2 at 2.8 mg, B6 at 5.2 mg as pyridoxine-5-phosphate, molybdenum at 50 mcg, malic acid at 200 mg and no taurine at all — an apparently superseded formula. We are reporting the manufacturer’s figures. Check the bottle you actually receive against the panel above.
Why the cofactors are there
This is not a plain zinc capsule. Riboflavin, P-5-P, molybdenum and taurine are formulated alongside the zinc, and taurine at 400 mg is the heaviest component in the capsule. If you are comparing against a single-ingredient zinc supplement, you are not comparing the same thing — and if you are already taking a B-complex, there is overlap to account for.
On price and availability
Designs for Health sells through practitioners and publishes no price. Two authorised retailers listed the 90-capsule bottle at $24.49 and $21.75 — roughly 24 to 27 cents a day.
An earlier version of this page said $26. That figure matches neither the manufacturer, who publishes nothing, nor either retailer, so we have replaced it with what we could actually source.
Certification status
The manufacturer page states gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free and non-GMO, and offers a certificate of analysis. We found no NSF Certified for Sport, Informed Sport or USP verification for this product.
